When are you gonna come down? February 30, 2023

 


I only have 3 minutes to type up a post today so here we go.  It was bag change day - Tiffany is awesome.  I have to go into work this week and I really dislike working there - so do you look for a new job when you have cancer?  It doesn't seem like the right thing to do (upsetting medical insurance, salary, etc...).  Any how, I don't like it.

I am in a bit of a rut so I need to get out of it.

So I've been up for a while (since 2:20 AM).  Sitting in the man cave and listening to the Kids are Alright During Magic Bus I remember how I used to listen to that song on the way to Tiffany's house on the Chemung County Transit Bus.  It was my Magic Bus that got me to her.  I was so in love with her, in lust for her, and just absolutely entranced. She loved The Who and I listened to this album (on cassette) all the time because it made me think of her. Colors seem to fade... April 27, 2022

  I wonder if you all notice the Hue lights changing colors behind me.  Today's theme is blue plane so I try to match the fireplace to the light theme.  Fun stuff.  Combined with my happy light I try to find things that make my spirts brighten or relax.   I have been feeling really positive with hearing Sloan wants to do some further work other than just straight chemo.  Every one I have read about the survived a similar diagnosis as me has had the same mental approach and some similar treatment paths that started with standard chemo and then some combination of new treatments and surgery.  So I am keeping up my energy and my healthy eating to ensure that I am a candidate for whatever is coming in 2 months.   Sunrise isn't until 6:20 this morning.  I miss the early sunrise and the warm summer mornings.  As much as I find autumn to be pretty, there is something about the summer mornings that are just perfect.  I get depressed in the winter, the darkness, the cold - it's depressing. Another person I knew from Man up For Cancer died again.  He was a CRC Stage IV patient as well.  He had been looking pretty sickly (thin and wasting) in his pictures.  Every time someone passes from this bullshit disease it scares the shit out of me.  I haven't felt well lately and I am hoping it is just the chemo, but the last blood tests scared me.  My liver function was way out of whack - and that was quick as two weeks ago it was perfect.  I suppose I shouldn't let it get to me as it has been out of whack in the past and I was just finishing up direct pump fed chemo. Well, I need to get outside and enjoy some of my morning.   I love you all!
